Pirate Fight Song

Aron Saffell on being informed of his selection

"Being selected to the Hall of Honor is just that, an honor.  I remember reading the names of many of Wylie’s top athletes on trophies, plaques, or articles when I was in Jr. High School.  Later, I actually had the privilege of playing with some incredible athletes who are now in the Hall of Honor.   That alone was an honor for me."

"I am so proud to have been a Wylie Pirate and to have been surrounded by teammates and coaches who pushed me so hard to be the best I could be. The benefits of that kind of mentality and drive have carried me well beyond high school."

"I’ve been with the Garland Fire Dept since ’85 and a Registered Nurse since ’93."

"I married my high school sweetheart (Kelly Fambro, ’87 WHS & UT-Dallas graduate) in ’89.  God blessed us with 2 incredible daughters.  Morgan (18, 2013 graduate of McKinney Christian Academy) is a freshman at Sam Houston State University studying Criminology & Cory (15) is a sophomore at Van Alstyne High School."
